Bee Bop

We are watching a parrot for some of our friends who are out of town.

His name is Bee Bop

He is such a good bird! This morning I was heating something up in the microwave, and when I pushed the buttons, Bee Bop mimicked the sound of the beeping on the microwave. Like exactly though, not just a chirp. It was like he had a little recorder box in his throat! I was kind of confused at first, but it is SO cool!

Meet Bee Bop

Also, I answered the phone this morning and (since it was my dad calling from Australia) I enthusiastically answered "Heeeellllloooo!" Well, Bee Bop copied me! I heard this "hello" in the background. Once again, I was confused and amused.

My Nephews are the Cutest!

I was in Oklahoma last week for a few days helping my sister Stephanie remodel my parent's house. We took our nephews (Isaac and Alex) to Chick-Fil-A and had a blast:

So Isaac's black eye was caused by Alex. Isaac had Alex in a head lock and to defend himself, Alex whacked him in the face with a metal spoon. When we asked Isaac and Alex what happened, Alex just screamed (with a huge smile on his face), "I SPOONED ISAAC!" He was very proud of himself. :)

Check out Austin

We are already loving Austin, it's such a fun city. Saturday night we went and saw the famous bats that fly out from under Congress street bridge at dusk every night. There were thousands of them!

We also ate at a delicious Indian Restaurant called Clay Pit and strolled the streets of downtown Austin. It really is the Live Music Capital - music was on every street! Including a bum who sang a special song just for us entitled, "The Secret to Life." He wasn't too bad actually.

Look at that week! Without the heat index!

It's official!

Love, love, love Indian food!
