Breakfast with Rebecca and Kate

Last weekend, Dave's Aunt Rebecca and her daughter Kate drove up from Colorado Springs to meet us for breakfast. It was a really great day!

A few weeks ago, Dave and I went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I wanted to see the dinosaurs because I had never seen real dino bones. Also they had a way cool Egyptian exhibit complete with mummies!

Being there reminded me that history is actually really cool.

"How do you measure up?"

Real scary

I love living close to a big city that has nature museums, art museums, amusement parks, restaurants, and performing arts centers! Oh and p.s., it's going to be 62 degrees today. I'm thinking you should come visit.

Will You Be My Valentine?

This is what my Valentine got for me :)

And I made him these (those are chocolate sprinkles, even though they look like bugs)

And then my Valentine serenaded me

And we waited for 2 HOURS to eat here

But it was SO worth it

Clark, remember when...

Dear Clark,

Remember that one time you came and visited us in Denver

And we went to this rockin' breakfast place

We ate some good food

Delicious Biscuit. Magical Even.

And you and Dave quoted these guys for 4 days straight

That was some good times...

Color Your Walls

Here is a cool idea I found online.

Wrap canvas boards in your favorite fabrics.

My favorite fabrics are from Anna Maria Horner and Amy Butler (click here and here). Just about the coolest fabrics in the whole wide world.

Now go and do something CrEaTiVe. It will make you happy (or at least it will make me happy).

Good Eats

Saturdays when I don't have to go to work are wonderful bliss. Dave whipped up some cheese eggs and I made these delectable muffins. I love muffins, so simple and so good.

Mmm...Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Why I Love Sundays

I love Sundays.
I get to go to church with this man:

Also he's ironing my shirt for me...love him even more now.

And after church we usually do this:

And eat this:

And then I get to talk to my family on Web cam:

And we read this:

That's why I love Sundays.

If you love Sundays too, then you'll probably like this.

Carefree Days

Yesterday was a beautiful day, it almost got up to 60 degrees.

Any of you that really know me, know that I LOVE to be outside. I sometimes wonder why I wasn't born as a bird.

My favorite shoes!

We went out on the town, which included motorcycle shopping (Davey + Honda Rebel = true love), getting huge sodas from the gas station (the epitome of carefree days), going to Cost Plus to pick up some ethnic food (Indian and Thai food was the theme yesterday), and ending the day with a trip to one of my favorite places - Souper Salad.

Then, at the end of the day, we came home, inflated the air mattress, and watched Friday Night Lights on the computer.

It was a good carefree day.
